2013
Sound and sculpture installation
Dumfries and Galloway.
As part of the first Environmental Arts Festival Scotland. Part sculptural installation, part audio archive; the voices gathered together and conversations collected about local connections to place, filled a disused K6 phone box in Clarencefield village. Hand cast ceramic handsets spoke out with the ghost-like memories of places past and present.
The work was initially commissioned for a phone box in Clarencefield village, and was subsequently toured to two further phone boxes – including the gathering and collecting of new audio content – in Wigtownshire as part of the Wigtown Book Festival in Autumn 2013.
